I had a rescue dog that was out of control with dangerous zoomies, over excitement with people arriving and body slamming, and food aggression. Laurie worked diligently with me to get Buzz under control and following commands. Buzz has no more food aggression either! My German Shepherd, Leo, LOVES Laurie! We began working with her when he was a little over one year old, and after a few consistent months of training, he made a lot of progress. Just as important, she also trained Leo's humans how to better understand what his body language was saying to us, how to react and not to react to him and certain behaviors, and how to set reasonable expectations with his training and his nature. This is a place for people who really want to invest and grow with their dog for years to come. These trainers KNOW their stuff! I've worked with Laurie and Amy and both are hands down the BEST dog trainers in Northwest Indiana. They are both incredibly knowledgeable on dog training. I've been going there since 2018 and I am still learning new things about my dog's behavior! Go to Laurie Tuttle Dog Training if you want to work with the best, they have a nice variety of classes and the online privates work great too. I've been taking the online privates to work on one of our rescue dogs, Laurie can see everything that is happening through computer/phone it's like she's in the room with you observing your dog! If you are concerned about taking classes while Covid is still around, they have been taking many precautions to keep everyone safe. Limited number of people in classes to socially distance, masks are a must, hand sanitizer...just to name a few off the top of my head! Can't go wrong with Laurie Tuttle Dog Training!

Laurie has helped me and my dogs tremendously over the past year. I have 2 dogs, both with reactivity, anxiety and behavioral issues, and with her help I've learned SO much about how to help my dogs live happier, less stressful lives. She doesn't just train the dogs, she teaches you everything you need to know on how to train your dogs yourself, using only positive and force free methods. She's very patient and generous with her time, definitely recommend!
